Ended up with like 8 halibut up to 30 pounds. Bunch of rockfish, calico bass. Got to see a couple different islands. Got to see some beautiful weather. And it was a lot of fun. The water has rebounded to around 68-69 degrees in the half-day zone, so we decided to spend the last hour of our AM trip fishing the kelp forest. Mike checked in for the Navegante from Redondo Beach. We just returned from a 2-Day trip with a nice group of 10 fishermen. Day one, we ended up making bait close to us and headed to an island to try to get a white seabass. Unfortunately the conditions were not in our favor. We ended up catching whitefish, sheephead, rockfish, and other bottom grabbers. Last night, we were able to put 13 bluefin up to 180 pounds on the boat despite several casualties. There was definitely no shortage of fish, but getting them to bite was a bit difficult. Mike has the latest fish report for you below.

Mike checked in for the Navegante from Redondo Beach. We came in this morning and had bad weather on the first day. It was pretty nautical there. We were trying to make some squid, and were able to get some, and we tried a couple different islands. The first day was kind of slow, but yesterday, it paid off. At the bottom of the ninth, we ended up with 15 nice quality white seabass up to 42 pounds. Our smallest was probably 20 to 25 pounds. We also got one nice yellowtail as well, along with 18 or 19 nice lingcod, limits of sheephead, and some other bottom grabbers. Mike has the current report for you below.

Steven checked in for the Navegante from Redondo Beach. We fished that seabass for quite a while here today. We were rewarded with one big one. We hooked on and got one, and it weighed 52 pounds. That was our seabass for the trip, but it was a good one--we'll take it. There was a lot of boat traffic and stuff like that. We're still seeing the fish, but a lot of boats were in the area today. We ended up bottom fishing with the guys for a little bit, and we had really nice red snapper fishing, sheephead, whitefish, and stuff like that to throw in the bags for the guys.
